About Jonah

Jonah joined JV in early 2023 and has since progressed into the role of Labour Hire Team Leader for Victoria, supporting the team across high-volume labour hire recruitment while continuing to work closely with candidates and clients across the civil construction market.

Originally from Ireland and with a background in Human Resource Management, Jonah combines recruitment experience with first-hand construction knowledge gained from working on-site across Australia.

He is particularly passionate about building strong candidate relationships, maintaining regular communication and helping people move into stable roles with opportunities to progress.

Experience

Jonah specialises in labour hire recruitment across Victoria’s civil construction market, with a strong focus on labouring and plant operating roles across subdivision and infrastructure projects.

His on-site construction experience gives him a practical understanding of the environments, skills and expectations involved in the roles he recruits for. During his time at JV, Jonah has helped place more than 100 civil candidates, with many progressing into operating roles as their experience has developed.

Now leading the Victorian Labour Hire team, Jonah brings together hands-on industry knowledge, recruitment experience and a strong focus on communication, consistency and candidate care.

Outside of work, Jonah is a keen sports fan and can often be found supporting the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park during winter or travelling whenever he gets the chance.
