Owen Bass

Owen Bass is a Recruitment Consultant within JV Recruitment’s Labour Hire division in Melbourne, specialising in construction labour hire and workforce solutions for civil, residential, commercial and remedial projects across Victoria.

Owen’s journey with JV Recruitment began on site, working as part of the construction workforce on a range of projects. After several years working on site, an injury led to an opportunity to transition into the office on modified duties as part of his rehabilitation. During this time, Owen quickly developed a passion for recruitment and was offered a full-time internal role with JV Recruitment.

Having worked directly within the construction industry, Owen understands the expectations of site teams and the importance of reliable workers who can contribute from day one. His first-hand experience helps him connect with both candidates and clients, ensuring placements are practical, dependable and suited to the realities of construction projects.

In his role, Owen focuses on sourcing, screening and placing skilled trades and labour professionals across Melbourne and Victoria.

He works closely with builders, contractors and project managers to ensure construction sites are properly staffed with capable workers, while supporting candidates in finding consistent opportunities across civil, residential, commercial and remedial construction projects.

Owen brings dedication, accountability and a strong team mindset to his role. Known for his dependable approach and positive attitude, he takes pride in supporting colleagues, candidates and clients while delivering a high standard of service.

Originally from England, Owen has now called Melbourne home for the past three years. Outside of work he enjoys watching sport, supporting Arsenal, and spending weekends catching new films at the cinema.
