The builder has been operating for over 40 years and has delivered major commercial developments across sectors including education, healthcare, aged care, retail and large residential developments. With several projects currently underway across the Gold Coast, they are looking to bring experienced Dogman onto site to support ongoing crane and structural works.
These roles offer immediate starts with consistent ongoing work for reliable candidates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely sling and secure loads using chains, slings, shackles and lifting equipment for crane operations.
- Direct crane operators using hand signals or two-way radios to guide loads safely into position.
- Inspect lifting gear and rigging equipment prior to lifts to ensure all equipment is safe and compliant.
- Assess load weights, balance and centre of gravity before lifting operations.
- Maintain exclusion zones and site safety awareness during lifting operations.
- Assist with general site duties and material handling when not engaged in crane lifts.
- Valid High Risk Dogman / Dogging Ticket (DG) – Essential
- Current Construction White Card
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Dogman role on commercial construction projects
- Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with crane operators and supervisors
- Reliable with a strong commitment to safety on site
- $45 – $55 per hour + Super
- Daily Travel Allowance ($21.94)
- Meal Allowance (over 9.5 hour shifts)
- Overtime rates paid – time and a half / double time
- Immediate start with ongoing work available
