SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Reading and interpreting civil structural plans and steel schedules
- Cutting, bending, tying, and placing steel reinforcement (rebar and mesh) on civil structures
- Securing steel structures using hand and power tying tools
- Assisting with formwork alignment and pour prep alongside concrete crews
- Participating in daily Toolbox Talks and site safety inductions
- Working collaboratively within a team environment to meet strict project timelines
- Excellent communication skills to ensure site safety and operational efficiency
WHAT YOU'LL GET
- $50.00 per hour + Super + Coinvest
- Daily Travel Allowance ($22.41)
- Meal allowance (payable on shifts over 9.5 hours)
- Heavy overtime available – time and a half and double-time rates paid
- Weekly Pay – processed every week, without fail
- 6 months of consistent, long-term work on a major civil infrastructure site
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer on civil or commercial construction sites
- Valid White Card
- Own reliable vehicle (Car/Ute) and full kit of hand tools / steel fixing tools(Essential)
- Full PPE (Hard hat, Hi-vis, Steel cap boots, safety glasses, gloves)
- Genuine desire to commit long-term and work well within a civil crew
- Physical fitness and a strong safety-first attitude
