About the Role We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Mid-to-Senior Construction Estimator to join our team based in Loganholme.
This role offers a fantastic balance of team connection and lifestyle flexibility. For the first 6 months, you will be based full-time in our Loganholme office to seamlessly embed yourself into our culture and workflows. Post-probation, you will unlock the option to Work From Home every Monday and Friday.
Because this role collaborates closely with our manufacturing and regional operations, you will also enjoy heading out to visit the team in Warwick once a fortnight, as well as attending our quarterly company Town Halls.
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates for a mix of residential and commercial projects.
- Utilizing CostX to produce elemental cost plans, bills of quantities (BOQs), and trade breakdowns.
- Conducting precise quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
- Reviewing and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Identifying project risks and value engineering opportunities during pre-construction phases.
- Estimating Tenure: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator working within both residential and commercial sectors.
- Software Proficiency: Strong, practical experience using CostX is essential.
- Compliance Knowledge: A solid grasp of QLD building codes, regulations, and local market rates.
- Qualifications: A Degree/Diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a relevant structural trade background with strong estimating tenure.
- Desirable: Experience or exposure to Modular, Prefabricated, or Design & Construct (D&C) projects is highly regarded.
- Competitive Base Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 + Super (based on experience).
