Lead detached & medium-density residential builds.
70/30 site-to-office split.
$130k–$150k + super + Vehicle Allowance
About the Opportunity
We are a progressive, quality-focused residential builder dedicated to making the new home journey seamless, transparent, and built to the highest standard. With a substantial pipeline of active projects across key South East Queensland growth corridors, we deliver both detached homes and medium-density communities designed for modern lifestyles.
Due to ongoing project commencements, an opportunity is available for an experienced, hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee our active builds based out of Walloon.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager – Queensland, you will manage the complete construction lifecycle across multiple concurrent detached and medium-density dwellings.
The role is structured around an effective 70% site-based and 30% office-based split, providing the on-ground presence to lead trades and quality checks alongside dedicated administration time for programming, cost tracking, and contractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Site & Trade Leadership: Direct, coordinate, and supervise trades, suppliers, and subcontractors across all allocated builds to ensure program milestones are achieved safely and on time.
- Safety First (WHS): Champion safety compliance on site, lead regular inspections, inductions, safety walks, and toolbox meetings, maintaining a strong safety culture across all sites.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect workmanship across every stage, verify compliance against approved plans, NCC, and internal quality standards, and resolve defects promptly.
- Schedule & Time Management: Maintain live construction schedules and project templates in Framework, actively managing workflow to hit or beat build time targets.
- Cost & Variation Control: Review trade scopes, monitor build costs, minimise variations through established ETS processes, and escalate potential budget impacts early.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Support the development and mentoring of Trainee Project Managers while collaborating closely with office, estimating, and drafting teams.
- Client Experience: Deliver proactive communication and professional engagement with clients throughout the construction journey.
- Background: Proven supervisory experience delivering Australian residential housing (detached and/or medium-density builds).
- Qualifications: Trade qualification, Diploma/Degree in Building & Construction Management, or relevant industry equivalent.
- Licensing: Current QBCC Site Supervisor or Builder licence (or eligibility), White Card, and a valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the building process, Australian Standards, NCC, and WHS obligations.
- Systems Proficiency: Confident computer skills across MS Office and construction scheduling software (experience with Framework is highly regarded).
- Communication & Drive: Strong interpersonal skills to command trade respect, communicate professionally with clients, and manage concurrent deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Competitive Package:$130,000 – $150,000 base + Super + Vehicle allowance
- Balanced Workflow: Structured 70/30 site-to-office model ensuring you have dedicated time for administration.
- Secure Pipeline: Consistent, solid volume of work within master-planned estates in the Walloon / Ipswich corridor.
- Supportive Culture: A well-resourced operational team that backs its supervisors on site.
