About the Role You will be working alongside site supervisors and trades, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of active construction sites. Duties will vary depending on your tickets and experience but will include both skilled and general labouring tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting qualified tradespeople on-site
- Operating machinery and equipment in line with your tickets
- Site preparation, clean-up, and material handling
- Supporting site management to meet project deadlines
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Working both independently and within a team environment
- Forklift (LF/LO): Loading/unloading materials, moving pallets, assisting with site logistics
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform): Operating boom/scissor lifts for high-access tasks, assisting trades at heights
- Telehandler: Moving heavy materials across site, supporting crane and logistics operations
- Hoist Operator: Managing personnel/material hoists, coordinating safe vertical transport on multi-storey sites
- Traffic Control: Managing site access, directing vehicles, ensuring pedestrian and worker safety
- Confined Space / Working at Heights / Silica: Certified in confined space entry and working at heights, with silica safety awareness training and current respirator fit testing; experienced following strict safety procedures in high-risk environments
- Roller / Excavator (or similar plant): Assisting with earthworks, trenching, compaction, and general machine operation
- Minimum 12 months construction experience
- Proven ability to assist trades and follow site instructions
- Confident operating machinery relevant to your tickets
- Strong awareness of site safety and procedures
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a crew
- $37 – $42 per hour + super (depending on experience and tickets)
- $21.94 daily travel allowance
- Meal allowance for shifts over 9.5 hours
- Overtime rates (time and a half / double time)
- Weekly pay cycle
- Ongoing work with potential for long-term opportunities
- Valid White Card
- Relevant tickets and licences (where applicable)
- Full Australian working rights
- Reliable transport highly desirable
- Full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis, steel caps, etc.)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
