Are you an A-Grade Electrician ready to step up into a leadership role? Or already a Supervisor looking for a stable, long-term position with a highly respected commercial electrical services team? This role offers the perfect blend of off-the-tools oversight, quoting, client interaction and technical leadership.
The Opportunity
Working across major campuses in Melbourne’s west, you’ll take ownership of a long-standing electrical services contract. This is an 80% off-the-tools position focusing on:
- Quoting and coordination
- Scheduling and managing maintenance
- Overseeing a small team of A-Grade Electricians
- Being the trusted on-site point of contact for stakeholders
- Plan, organise and schedule all preventative maintenance activities
- Prepare reports, quote repairs, and coordinate shutdowns for RCD testing and switchboard maintenance
- Manage reactive work orders, ensuring timely completion and portal updates
- Quote day-to-day electrical works (lighting, power upgrades, minor projects)
- Assist the Service Manager on larger quoted works
- Maintain strong communication with site stakeholders:
- Weekly meetings with the onsite Facilities Manager
- Monthly meetings involving the broader service team
- Provide hands-on support when required and allocate work to 2–3 A-Grade Electricians
- Coordinate additional staff during peak periods, including apprentices
- A proactive, switched-on A-Grade Electrician with a commercial maintenance background
- Someone who takes pride in client care, communication, and urgency
- Leadership experience is ideal but not essential — perfect for an ambitious leading hand electrician ready to step up
- If you don’t have quoting or supervisory experience yet, full training and support will be provided
- Must be personable, reliable, and able to build strong client trust
- $52–$54 per hour(depending on experience)
- Company Ute (2-door)
- Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
