We are currently looking for General construction labourers to assist on a range of commercial projects throughout Brisbane's northern suburbs, Chermside, Fitzgibbons, CBD and Logan areas. Immediate start and Ongoing work, along with overtime for the right candidates.
THE ROLES:
We are seeking experienced and reliable construction workers to join our team working alongside carpenters and builders on commercial construction projects. The demand for general construction labourers has increased and we require skilled individuals who can support trades and help drive projects forward. We have lots of work available right now. Multiple locations available.
As a general construction labourer, your daily responsibilities will include assisting carpenters with framing, formwork, and structural tasks, while supporting builders with material preparation and site organisation. You'll be loading and unloading materials from trucks and storage areas, moving construction materials around the site as directed by supervisors, and cleaning and maintaining work areas to ensure safety standards are met. The roles can involve assisting with concrete pours including preparation and finishing work, helping with demolition tasks and site preparation activities, and operating basic hand tools and power tools under supervision. You'll be carrying out general housekeeping duties to maintain a tidy worksite, following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times, and assisting with the installation of fixtures, fittings, and building components. Additionally, you'll be supporting various trades including plumbers, electricians, and other specialists as required, participating in team briefings and safety meetings, and performing any other duties as directed by site supervisors or project managers.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in contributing to major construction projects, and wants to develop their skills within the building industry!Our roles start as casual positions, however for the right candidate this opportunity will become long-term employment with regular overtime opportunities available!
WHAT YOU'LL GET
- $35 -$37 per hour + 11.5% super (depending on role/experience)
- Additional meal allowance (over 9.5 hours on a shift)
- Additional daily travel allowance ($21.95)
- Time and a half and double-time rates paid for overtime
