CLIENT:
Our client is a highly regarded boutique builder specialising in some of Melbourne’s most beautifully designed custom homes, typically in the $2–4m range. Known for their exceptional build quality, strong site culture, and long-standing relationships with leading architects and designers, this business sets the benchmark in high-end residential construction. Due to a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are now seeking an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to join their growing team. Projects are primarily located across Melbourne’s inner east and south east.
THE ROLE:
This is a hands-on, on-the-tools role, where you will be actively working on site day-to-day, while occasionally leading small teams and supporting the Site Manager when required. You will take ownership of key site tasks, help coordinate trades, and ensure work is delivered to the highest standard.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Qualified Carpenter
- 2–3+ years post-apprenticeship experience
- Previous Leading Hand or informal leadership experience preferred
- Recent experience on $2m+ high-end residential builds
- New builds, extensions, and high-end renovations experience
- Strong understanding of OHS and site compliance
- Confident leading small teams when required
- Well presented, reliable, and highly motivated
- Stable work history with solid references
- Carpentry qualification
- Experience working on high-end residential projects
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and own tools
- $50–55 per hour + super
