Maintenance Electrician

JV are currently looking for qualified A Grade Electricians with solar experience to assist with maintenance and service work across Melbourne’s Northern and Western suburbs. This is a temp-to-perm role with a 3-month trial period, offering a genuine pathway to full-time, permanent employment.

While the majority of work will be industrial and commercial electrical maintenance, around 20% of this role will involve solar maintenance. For this reason, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in solar systems.

Skills and Experience

• Performing preventative and reactive maintenance in commercial and industrial environments
• Fault-finding and repairing electrical systems and equipment
• Conducting solar maintenance and servicing(minimum 2 years’ experience required)
• Testing, tagging, and compliance checks
• Ability to work independently on service calls and liaise with clients
• Strong focus on safety, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship

• $50 – $52 per hour + super + coinvest (where applicable)
• Work vehicle provided
• Additional meal allowance (over 9.5 hours on a shift)
• Time and a half and double-time rates paid for overtime
• Weekly pay
• Ongoing roles with long-term potential in the commercial/industrial sector
• Temp-to-perm pathway — 3-month trial leading to permanent full-time role

• Current A Grade Electrical Licence
• White Card
• Full Australian work rights
• Minimum 2 years’ solar experience
• Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as independently
• Minimum 12 months’ experience in commercial/industrial service and maintenance
• Full PPE
• A car and tools are highly desirable but not essential
