We're seeking someone who can hit the ground running and bolster the horsepower of the current project team. This is the first of multiple projects planned over the next 2–5 years, making this a gateway role into longer-term work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the successful delivery of a civil infrastructure project valued at approx. $5M.
- Work closely with the existing PM and delivery team to ensure time, cost, and quality outcomes.
- Manage and report against program (MS Project), comparing original vs current timelines.
- Monitor commercial and contractual obligations, including some variation management (though not expected to be extensive).
- Liaise with the client regarding RFIs and drive design-related queries to resolution.
- Take an overview role across safety, quality, and environmental management (robust ITP system in place).
- Engage effectively with stakeholders, including council and rural landowners.
- Work closely with site teams (~30 people) including operators and trades.
- Support procurement alignment (dedicated support already in place).
- Ensure proper documentation of purchases and system entries.
Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years' experience in project management within civil infrastructure or subdivisions(preferably rural).
- Strong understanding of construction delivery, project reporting, and contract tracking.
- Practical experience with MS Project and reporting on project progress.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify what’s necessary without heavy oversight.
- Confident dealing with both field crews and clients.
- Safety, quality, and environmental awareness, especially within rural projects.
- Ability to operate with minimal guidance and integrate quickly into an existing team.
The Team:
- Collaborative office environment with existing PM (technical engineering background), Contracts Manager, and Admin support.
- Supportive construction team of up to 30 site-based staff, including operators and welders.
What’s on Offer:
- Immediate start.

- Temp role through to mid/late-October, with a strong potential to go permanent.
- Opportunity to prove yourself on the ground with further pipeline work to follow.
